AJ's Allies Fridays

Friday -  September 28, 2012

AJ's ALLIES

FRIDAYS -
A day devoted to AJ and being her Ally!
Being a voice for the voiceless
Proverbs 31: 8 - 9
(funny thing is that Hannah's friend is actually named AJ too!)

AJ is a precious five and 1/2 year old in the Philippines (can't post her photo).  She has cerebral palsy!  AJ needs a voice to get word out about her need for a family and the needs of the other children JUST LIKE HER!  There are many with special needs that desperately need a family!  OUR AVIGAYIL was in AJ's orphanage...AVI needed a voice...someone to speak up for her...AVI is now loved and cherished as a daughter - OUR DAUGHTER! SHE IS LOVED DEARLY!

(Avigayil - Tin Tin)
Our family loves AJ and prays to bring her home but there is a two year between adoption/placement/birth policy in the Philippines which means unless the Government body overseeing adoption in the Philippines, ICAB, is able and willing to waive the two year policy that AJ will have to wait if we are meant to be her family!  She may have to wait until 2015 to actually get home! We will be a voice for AJ until she is home - either with our family who already loves her dearly or another family if that is the LORD'S plan but until that day we will continue to be her voice!  Once AJ is home safely we will continue to be a voice for those left behind!

HENCE AJ's ALLIES...those standing up for AJ and other children like AJ that need to be heard...need to be seen...need to be loved!!!

PLEASE PRAY that ICAB might at some point be able to reduce the time needed to wait between any type of placement and eventually waive this policy for children with special needs who have families ready to proceed to adopt them as soon as policy will allow!  Please pray for those mountains to be moved for children like AJ!  They at times have been waived for children that are aging out but AJ has great need and others like AJ have great need when they have special medical issues!

We respect the government body and it's policy but do see this portion of the policy through different eyes...through the eyes of the needs of the children left behind like precious AJ!

Please PRAY FOR hearts to be opened to children with special need!

(ellianna)
Please PRAY FOR AJ and all the other countless children just like AJ in the Philippines, Russia, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Honduras, Serbia, Vietnam, India, Kenya, the United States...and on and on and on and on...there are so many children in need it makes my heart ache to think of all the need...

(Angelina)
BUT we can make a difference...ONE CHILD AT A TIME

For Such a Time As This...

For such a time as this - I was placed upon the earth to hear the voice of God and do HIS will whatever it is...Wayne Watson YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXcJUIAJNW0

Now, all I have is now
To be faithful
To be holy
And to shine
Lighting up the darkness
Right now, I really have no choice
But to voice the truth to the nations
A generation looking for God

For such a time as this
I was placed upon the earth
To hear the voice of God
And do His will
Whatever it is
For such a time as this
For now and all the days He gives
I am here, I am here
And I am His
For such a time as this
You - Do you ever wonder why
Seems like the grass is always greener
Under everybody else's sky
But right here, right here for this time and place
You can live a mirror of His mercy
A forgiven image of grace
For such a time as this
I was placed upon the earth
To hear the voice of God
And do His will
Whatever it is
For such a time as this
For now and all the days He gives
I am here, I am here
And I am His
For such a time as this

For such a time as this
I was placed upon the earth
To hear the voice of God
And do His will
Whatever it is
For such a time as this

Can't change what's happened till now
But we can change what will be
By living in holiness
That the world will see Jesus

These words...this song came to me tonight while thinking about the upside down nature of our world.  Do you ever wonder why a politician can raise a million dollars in 1 month and we collect pennies, nickels and dimes for the orphans?

The president raised $114 million, a sign that the GOP spending advantage in the fall may be smaller than thought. Romney raised $112 ... taken from the www.Washingtonpost.com

No more words needed...the point is made!  God's economy is not the same as the World's economy! With all of the events taking place in our world just this week...

For Such a Time as This I was placed upon the earth to hear the voice of God and do HIS will whatever it is....for such a time as this...What is your purpose?

To be a voice for the voiceless so that others may see JESUS
the orphans are the heart of God!

James 1:27
New King James Version (NKJV)
"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."

JOY OF THE FATHER - AVIGAYIL

Avigayil - Hebrew spelling for the name Abigail
Means
Joy of the Father

Genesis 1:2 ESV
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters  What do you think she sees?  What do you think she senses - Pure joy and delight in the arms of her earthly father and in the presence of her Heavenly Father!  She sees what you and I might miss!

Psalm 139:17-18 ESV
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.

He has inscribed a circle on the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.

Psalm 139:9-10 ESV

If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Psalm 8:8 ESV

The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

Psalm 139:13 (NIV)

 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 16:11 ESV
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 4:7 (ESV)

You have put more joy in my heart
than they have when their grain and wine abound

Psalm 126:2 ESV
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

Zephaniah 3:17 ESV

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing

Avigayil, Avi for short or even the nickname Tin Tin as she was known by everyone in the Philippines and is still called today....

She is the JOY OF her father and the JOY OF THE FATHER!  She is precious in HIS sight and precious beyond words!  She is our beloved daughter!  I cry and think of our Avi everytime I hear The Story of the starfish and the little boy along the seashore picking up one starfish at a time and throwing them back to safety in the sea - when a man comes along and tells the little boy ..."Look at all these starfish...they are as vast as the sand along the sea - you will never be able to save them all...so why bother (paraphrasing the story as you can tell)"  The wise little boy picks up another and tosses it to safety in the water and turns to the "grumpy man" and says IT MATTERED TO THAT ONE!

Avi matters...she matters to us...she matters to the LORD...she is a precious life created by God in the image of God!  She is a life worthy of joy, laughter, ice cream, love, and all we can give her!

Sasha matters, Ellianna matters, Avi matters, Lina matters, AJ matters....

Everytime I think of Avi I think of another little life in the Philippines named AJ that we long to bring home as quickly as possible but the policy in the Philippines states that there must be 2 years between adoptions, placements, births etc. Each country and adoption process has it's own rules and this I understand and must respect... So this means that AJ has to wait. We can not proceed unless this policy would be waived for a special case...AJ's case!  We pray this might happen before the two year wait between Lina's adoption and when we might start the process for AJ...all you that pray...please pray for the grace of the LORD upon anyone that might be able to make a difference for AJ!  AJ is already 5 and 1/2 and also has cerebral palsy.

In the meantime we will work in ministry to make the lives of the orphans left behind just a bit better!  MORE INFORMATION ON AJ's ALLIES and this work coming soon! Please stay tuned with how you can get involved and help!  More information on the chip in and the raising of funds for Aunties/BaBa's for Filipino orphans coming soon!!!

Anyone attending Calvary Chapels around the world...Calvary Chapel Lebanon is getting involved in the lives of the orphans in the Philippines and I will soon post that website too...so ask how your Calvary Chapel might be able to start adoption ministry/orphan care in your church...check out www.hfgf.org  to see what is happening with this ministry in the Philippines!

Please email me if you would like more information on the work in the Philippines

Be a voice for a precious child with Down Syndrome!

URGENT shout out...why urgent because a precious child needs a family!

Get word out...

Contact  me at stephanie.carpenter@lifelinechild.org if you or anyone you know would be interested in adopting a child that turned 2 in April and has Down syndrome diagnosis!!!

The Ministry of Justice is asking for a family with a smaller family size and the last adoption must have been 6 months ago AT LEAST!

If you fit the requirements for Bulgaria and would like to know more please email me and/or call
the main Lifeline Children's Services number at 1-205-967-0811 (ask for Stephanie B., Stephanie C.and/or Jana).

URGENT...please get word out on social media that there is a little girl that needs a family.  Her file will be returned to the MOJ at the end of September.  This does not mean that she will no longer be adoptable but her file will become one in the list once again!

DO YOU CARE?
Why do I care?  I care because no child should be without a family to love them.  I care because I have been to many orphanages and have seen the effects of any orphanage on children!  It does not matter what country - the effects of living in an orphanage are NOT WHAT any child should have to live through.

Burkina Faso - YES IT IS a COUNTRY! Did you know...

Burkina Faso -
Primarily special needs children are available for adoption!

Ten year old Marie has been lost in the Social Services system. Because she is an albino, she has suffered physically and has faced much rejection.
She cannot see well enough to do the work and there is no program in place to help her succeed. Although some effort has been made to correct and to protect her eyes, the care available here is not adequate for her needs. She also suffers greatly due to the harsh African sun.

Adoptions from Burkina to U.S. per year:
2011 -2
2009 -2
2008 -1
2007 -1
2006 -1
2001 -1
facts taken from :
http://adoption.state.gov/country_information/country_specific_info.php?country-select=burkina_faso
Karim NEEDS A FAMILY NOW!Karim was born pre-maturely weighing only 1800 grams at birth. Because he is so tiny and not very strong, he is being fed by a feeding tube. He is only 1 month old!

Here is Christina...she needs a family!   She has cerebral palsy!  She has not yet had her first birthday!  She is alone!

Sylvain is 4 years old. He does not see well and the specialists here cannot give a clear diagnosis!  HE needs a family!

This is precious OLIVIA...she is soon turning 5 and she has a severe form of Cerebral palsy and needs a family to bring her home!!

My friend, Ruth Cox, http://sheltering-wings.org/ shared with me that these children are available for adoption and they are all in great need! I am able to photo list these children because I do not work in any professional capacity with Burkina or an agency that works with Burkina!  I am simply burdened for these children since the first day I saw OLIVIA's photo! She is so much like our Avigayil and it breaks my heart that she has no Mommy and Daddy to love her and care for her and to feed her ice cream like Avigayil!

Don't you just want to love these children so that the sad eyes can be replaced with joy and belonging!  OH HOW MY HEART ACHES FOR EACH OF THESE CHILDREN!

Sheltering Wings is:
a Christian mission organization dedicated to impacting the world for Jesus Christ.   Their projects include an orphanage, school, and clinic in Burkina Faso, West Africa, as well as working with other missionaries around the world.   Their website says "Jesus gave his life for us, so we seek to give our lives back to Him."

Watch this YouTube video of Therese meeting her sister, mom and grandma for the first time at the Sheltering Wings Orphanage in Burkina Faso - get your tissues ready!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bQBcAcX4d8

These children all need to know this kind of LOVE!

PLEASE BE A VOICE FOR THESE VOICELESS CHILDREN! Proverbs 31: 8 - 9

Please contact me if you might be interested in Any of these special children and I will put you in touch with Ruth Cox...better yet...check out her blog at http://burkinaorphanage.blogspot.com/

Some facts about Burkina:

Burkina Faso has one of the lowest GDP per capita figures in the world: $1,200.[16] Agriculture represents 32% of its gross domestic product and occupies 80% of the working population. It consists mostly of livestock but also, especially in the south and southwest, of growing sorghum, pearl millet, maize (corn), peanuts, rice and cotton. A large part of the economic activity of the country is funded by international aid.
Burkina – is a landlocked country in west Africa. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Côte d'Ivoire to the southwest. The country's capital is Ouagadougou.

Family in need NOW...

Hi dear friends,

I am close friends with a family adopting internationally right now - a special needs child!  They just learned that they need a large sum of the adoption fees by Monday...large meaning just over $4,000 - so not so large to GOD but large to them!  They were not expecting the process to move as fast as it just did for their special needs child!

I want to help them...so getting word out that if you can help with any portion of the fee...even if it seems small...can you email me!!!!

I will put you in touch with my friends...They are relying upon the LORD to provide what they need by MONDAY!  I have seen the LORD do this over and over and over for HIS precious children...

So if you know of anyone that could help please contact me at...
